Our story
A pure oil, an old tradition
Mybatana began with a simple belief: that the best batana oil is the one closest to the way it has always been made. No shortcuts, no fillers, no exaggerated promises. Just pure, cold-pressed oil from the rainforests of Honduras.
From the nut of the American oil palm
Batana oil is pressed from the nut of the American oil palm (Elaeis oleifera), which grows in La Mosquitia, a remote stretch of rainforest along the coast of Honduras. For generations, the Miskito people have harvested the nuts by hand, roasted them, and cold-pressed them into a rich, golden-brown oil.
That oil is naturally full of vitamin E and fatty acids, and it has long been treasured for how it moisturizes, softens, and brings shine to hair and scalp. We did not invent batana oil. We simply set out to bring it to you exactly as it should be: pure and unrefined.
